McIntyre’s Books, proudly an independent bookstore since 1989, is located in Fearrington Village. Offering a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction, with an emphasis on children’s books, cooking, mystery and local authors, McIntyre’s is a community staple in Chatham County and nearby Chapel Hill. Beyond its book offerings, the bookstore hosts nearly 150 author events annually, giving local and nationally recognized authors a platform to share their stories.

Managed by Keebe Fitch, over the past 28 years, McIntyre’s has developed one of the largest author events programs in the South and continues to offer specialized event series, such as the Cooks & Books events, in addition to weekly author readings.
