Halloween at Pittsboro Farmers Market

October 31 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Come out to the market to get your usual best groceries in town. And show up wearing a costume to get in the Halloweeny spirit. We’ll have music, chalk art, a Halloween parade, trick-or-treating, and a costume contest.

The Pittsboro Farmer’s Market is open year-round with select items. Open Thursdays from 3PM-6PM, the Farmer’s Market is located at 287 East Street.

2019 Pittsboro Farmer’s Market Special Dates:

  • Knife sharpening – last Thursday of each month
  • May 9th: Strawberry Short Cake Social
  • June 27th: Dairy Day
  • July 11th: Chef Demo – Michelle Aronson from Farmbelly
  • August 1st: Watermelon Festival
  • September 12th: Grape Stomping Competitions
  • October 10th: Farm Friends Adoption Event (working on making this definite)
  • November 14th: Customer Appreciation Day
  • November 27th: Special Holiday Market
  • December 12th: Holiday Extravaganza

Purchase a Hamish Pottery Cup and we will fill it with soup made from the finest market ingredients. Bring your cup to our next Cup of Soup event and get it filled with soup for FREE!!! Cup of Soup: A Pittsboro Farmers’ Market Fundraiser will happen every third Thursday of the month for all of 2019.

All proceeds made from this fundraiser will go directly to the PFM so we can continue to grow and host more community events. Hamish Pottery Cups: 1 for $17 or 2 for $30

What’s in Season?

Spring April to mid-June

Asparagus, arugula, beets, broccoli, cabbage, green onions, green-house tomatoes, greenhouse cucumbers, herbs, Kale, lettuce, mustard greens, oriental vegetables, peas, radishes, spinach, turnips, and strawberries.

Summer Mid-June to September

Basil, butter beans, cantaloupe, cucumbers, eggplant, field peas, garlic, green beans, okra, peppers, potatoes, squash, sweet corn, Swiss chard, blueberries, watermelons, blackberries, tomatoes.

Fall October to November

Beets, broccoli, cauliflower, collards, greenhouse cucumbers, kale, lettuce, mustard greens, oriental vegetables, pumpkins, spinach, sweet potatoes, turnips, winter squash.

Available all Year

Eggs, beef, pork, poultry, goat cheese, wine, baked goods, jams, jellies, relishes, pickles, vegetable, and ornamental plants
