How to Build a Story – A Writing Workshop for Young Writers with Frances O’Roark Dowell

In this five-hour workshop, we’ll learn how to write a story from beginning to end. We’ll start by generating ideas and then explore the best ways to get a story rolling. We’ll talk about how to develop compelling characters and construct a plot that will keep readers turning the pages. This will be a writing-intensive workshop where participants will learn not only how stories work, but also how to put what they’ve learned into practice.

This workshop is best suited for rising fifth graders to rising seventh graders.

Cost: $75.00

Spaces Limited! Call McIntyre’s Books at 919-542-3030 to register.
