Chatham Conservation Partnership

The Chatham Conservation Partnership’s next normal quarterly meeting is next week on April 19 from 9 am to 12 pm at the Holmes Meeting Room in the Chatham County Library, 197 NC Hwy 87 N, Pittsboro. For an agenda go to CCP website – https://chathamconservation.wikispaces.com/Upcoming+Meetings

Our topic of discussion is Discovering Biodiversity in Chatham County: Birds and Their Habitats.  We’ll start with Scott Anderson, Bird Biologist from the NC Wildlife Commission and Harry LeGrand, Vertebrate Zoologist and ecologist extraordinaire giving a couple of informative presentations.  Then we’ll head out for a field trip to the NC Educational Forest on Big Woods Roads. At the park we plan to walk the Demonstration Trail that is part of the NC Birding Trail. Come prepared with walking shoes and if you have them binoculars. We will also have a few binoculars available to share.
